Celtics Take 2-0 Lead in NBA Finals After Game 3 Victory

Boston Dominates From Deep, Extends Lead

Mavs Struggle to Find Offensive Rhythm

The Boston Celtics have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 116-104 in Game 3 on Thursday night. The Celtics, who entered the game with a 2-0 advantage, were led by Jayson Tatum's 29 points and Jaylen Brown's 27.

The Mavericks, who had some reason for hope after Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis was ruled out for the game due to injury, struggled to find their offensive rhythm. Dallas shot just 18-of-58 from the field (31.0%) and 8-of-26 from three-point range (30.8%).

The Celtics, on the other hand, were on fire from deep, hitting 15-of-40 from three-point range (37.5%). Boston's bench also provided a significant contribution, with Grant Williams scoring 16 points and Derrick White adding 14.

The Celtics turned a 63-61 lead midway through the third quarter into a 69-63 edge, forcing Mavericks coach Jason Kidd to call a timeout. However, Boston continued to pour it on, extending their lead to 15 points by the end of the quarter.

The Mavericks never recovered in the fourth quarter, as the Celtics cruised to a comfortable victory.
